ME+EM Edinburgh

ME+EM’s flagship store in Edinburgh was the first in an ongoing collaboration between Tina Vaia and EJM Studio. The two studios were commissioned in 2023 to transform a Victorian property into a harmonious retail space—blending the building’s original architectural details with a modern, meticulous approach. The result is a relaxed yet timeless interior that reflects the ME+EM aesthetic. 

The design features soft pink plaster, hand-applied to the walls, alongside custom fixtures and unique, bespoke furniture pieces in complementary tones. Tina Vaia’s signature use of resin and ceramics adds a distinctive touch throughout the space.

A standout element of the store is a large communal bench that nods to Victorian design, set against mustard-colored drapery and a monochromatic tiled floor, creating striking contrast.

Through their thoughtful collaboration and innovative use of materials, Tina Vaia and EJM Studio crafted a luxurious yet welcoming store, sensitively restoring and elevating the space with care and creativity.
