Tallat Mycelium
Tallat Mycelium
The name “Mycelium” is the studio’s ode to the Japanese ceramic layering technique known as Nerikomi, a method long used in Tina Vaia Studio’s tabletop pieces and now translated into architectural-scale tiles. The technique involves stacking layers of coloured clay, compressing and working them together, and then rolling the material into flat slabs. These slabs reveal organic, marbled patterns that are cut by hand into tiles and fired in the kiln. Though painstaking, the process yields expressive, one-of-a-kind surfaces that celebrate the beauty of imperfection and material depth.
Designed for both indoor and outdoor use, the Mycelium Tallat introduces softened geometry and organic movement to the collection, offering a fresh interpretation of the original tiled table while retaining its bespoke adaptability.
Prices start from 1.800.00€ (W400mm x L1100mm x H300mm) and production time is approximately 8 weeks.
